Student Launch Flow and Initial Checks

How the system begins monitoring at launch

Automated identity verification begins

When a learner launches a proctored exam, Cognarroot immediately starts security protocols. The platform prompts for camera access and displays an identity-check dialogue before the test can proceed.

Student Launch Flow and Initial Checks

Capture reference snapshot and enter full screen

Capture and lock the testing environment

After the camera is confirmed, the Capture and Start control becomes active. The student takes a reference snapshot, then is prompted to switch to full screen to lock the browser and officially start the exam.

In-Exam Monitoring, Warnings, and Behavior Detection

Live feed, integrity score, and instant warnings

Visible monitoring and instant alerts

During the exam the candidate sees their webcam feed and a live integrity score in the corner. The AI continuously analyzes behavior and shows on-screen warnings if the learner looks away or glances off-screen.

In-Exam Monitoring, Warnings, and Behavior Detection

Detecting unauthorized objects and automatic logging

Object detection and violation handling

If a prohibited item (for example, a phone or secondary device) is detected, the system logs the event, issues a warning, and reduces the integrity score automatically.

For compliant students the system remains unobtrusive and the experience is uninterrupted.

In-Exam Monitoring, Warnings, and Behavior Detection

Seamless navigation and submitting while monitored

Complete the exam without interruption

Honest learners can move between questions and submit normally. All monitoring runs silently in the background while the student focuses on the test.

When finished, administrators can review the session through the CRM results directory.

Locate submission records

Back in the CRM, return to the exam list and click the exam's Results button. This opens the submissions directory containing every candidate's record for that test.
