Why use flashcards and what we'll build

What you'll create

Flashcards are powerful for quick review and long-term retention. In this tutorial you will use Cogniroot's AI to generate a course-based flashcard deck and attach it to a specific module so learners access it inside the curriculum.

This section orients you to available deck types and the end-to-end workflow you'll follow.

Locate the Course and Create a Deck

Open the course builder and start a new deck

Find the module and start

From your CRM dashboard, open the course list and select the course you want to enhance. Enter the course builder and navigate to the specific module where the flashcards should appear.

Look for the dedicated Flashcard button on the module interface. Click it to view existing decks and choose Create New Flashcard to begin.

Generate with AI and Configure Options

Use the AI generator to create cards

Open the flashcard builder

The builder opens immediately. Instead of typing each card by hand, click Generate with AI. In the configuration window, describe the core topic clearly, pick a card type (e.g., term/definition or Q&A), and set any preferences like difficulty or number of cards.

When ready, click Generate Cards and watch the live progress as the deck is created.

Generate with AI and Configure Options

Edit and organize the generated deck

Refine the AI output

After generation, the cards populate the builder. You control the results: edit any card text, drag and drop to reorder the sequence, or select Regenerate for specific cards that need improvement.

Use these tools to ensure accuracy, tone, and alignment with your course learning objectives.

Preview, Finalize, and Publish

Preview the student view and publish the deck

Preview and publish

Click Preview to test the student-facing flip interface and verify the study flow. If you need to tweak metadata or settings, use Edit Setup to change the deck title, add a description, or adjust permissions.

When everything looks right, collapse the panel and click Save and Publish. The deck is now integrated into your course module and ready for learners.
